Middlesbrough Armed Forces Community Club Moves to New Venue Following Rapid Growth

Armed forces veterans and service personnel across Middlesbrough are invited to the latest Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club breakfast this Friday (2 October).

Following rapid growth in attendance, the event moves to its new home at the Holiday Inn Express for the first time.

The relaxed gatherings – previously held at Station Suites on Linthorpe Road, - are supported by The Royal British Legion, Help for Heroes and Middlesbrough Council’s Staying Included Service.

Staff from the Council’s benefits team will be on hand at Friday’s meeting to offer advice on the Crisis & Resilience Fund and other support available for those who may be facing hardship.

Staying Included officer Linda Ford said:

The Station Suites were the perfect setting to launch the Community Club, but the get-togethers have proved so popular we’ve already outgrown the venue.

From this month we’re moving to the Holiday Inn Express, and we’re really grateful for their ongoing support.

We’re looking forward to welcoming both regulars and newcomers to our meetings over the coming months.

The next meeting of the Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club is this Friday, October 2, with next month’s meeting due to take place on Friday, November 6.

  • The Veterans & Armed Forces Community Club meets for bacon butties, tea and coffee from 10am to noon at the Holiday Inn Express on Albert Road (opposite Centre Square) Middlesbrough TS1 2PA
